Our Products

Coming in 2012

  • Vegetables (Starting in Spring of 2012 we will be selling chemical-free vegetables from the farm.  We are going to try to focus on old heirloom varieties that still pollinate openly.  This first year we hope to offer the following: lettuce, Swiss Chard, spinach, garlic, onions, hot peppers, sweet peppers, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, summer squash, spaghetti squash, sugar snap peas, green beans, pie pumpkins, muskmelon, and watermelon.

As a farm that is just starting out obviously we only have a few products to offer at this time, but as we grow  and learn we hope to add many other things to the list of quality foods that we produce from our farm here in Northern Ohio.  For now our focus is solely to produce food that is superior in every way to the well traveled items found in supermarkets.

  • Eggs (We produce truly farm-fresh eggs from hens that are not confined to battery cages like the typical egg operation.  In the spring, summer, and fall we move our girls to fresh grass daily which keeps the hens cleaner, healthier, and happier.  Studies show that eggs from pastured hens have less cholesterol, less saturated fat, more vitamin A, more vitamin E, more vitamin D and seven times more Beta Carotene than typical supermarket eggs.  Being in Northern Ohio, naturally we can't keep the chickens out on the pasture during our cold and snowy winters so we bring them into the coop for the winter that we bed down deeply with saw dust which absorbs the manure and turns into compost that we can use for garden fertilizer later.  We still try to supplement their diet with some veggies to ensure they are getting plenty of vitamins so in addition to grain we give them pumpkins and gourds left over from the Halloween and Thanksgiving season.)

  • Pastured Broilers ( Like our laying hens we produce top notch broilers for meat out on pasture.  Again moving the birds daily to fresh pasture ensures healthier, happier birds that don't need to be held up with crutches like hormones and anti-biotics like their industrial counterparts.  In addition to producing a bird that is nutritionally superior it also tastes better than supermarket chicken.)

Our vision for the future includes offering fresh vegetables, pastured beef, pork, and possibly even rabbit.  Our goal is simply to produce the best tasting, most nutritious food that we can possibly offer you.  Thank you for your support.
